I got rather excited when I thought that my copy of the first book might have been a first edition.</p>
<p>After looking around for awhile, I discovered that the first 3 books all have &#8220;Fist published in &#8230;&#8221; in them, and there is actually a line of number that shows what edition it is.</p>
<p>My get rich quick plans died as quickly as they sprung up.</p>
<p>But then I decided to look at my other books. Turn out the Prisoner of Azkaban is actually a  First Edition, First Printing, First Issue. Plus an uncorrected text block on Page 7 and copyright Joanne Rowling (rather than JK Rowling).</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t look a lot farther than that, but it looks like it might be worth a decent amount. So that&#8217;s fun.</p>
<p>So if you got into harry potter early, check out the copyright page of your first three books. Look for a number string &#8211; 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. If you find that, you might be in luck. =D</p>
