My Life

Memories are stored in colours. The rich hues of a rainbow fill your mind, even if you’re unaware of it. Think back to the red lust of your youth. Her cherry lips. Your fiery hearts. The sweet smell of crimson roses. Then look into the blue of your mind. The sorrow. Tears shed over death. Those eyes, hard as sapphires, laden with your pain and my guilt. The note left in blue biro. The best memories are the yellow days of happiness. The sunshine on the day you met. An endless field of buttercups. The golden ring of forever.

This is a 99 word story I wrote for my english class, Just thought I’d share it with you all.

Hi. I’m not quite sure how I found your web site. That’s the nature of links, I guess. I really like your 99 word story on memories. I do public speaking fairly regularly, and am always on the lurk for good material. I have bundled your piece away into a little file for future use. If I ever find myself wanting to use it, I’ll ask you for permission. It’s really good. It’s exactly the way my memory works.

I found your blog on your youtube page and I love your story. Colors have never spark my memories, not to say I don’t love them, but I mostly dream in black and white. It’s the smells that really do it for me. For example, I always feel like such a creeper when I follow someone for a bit on the street just because they wear the same cologne as my dad did. Thanks for posting that- it’s adorable.
