Memories in Colour

Memories are stored in colours. The rich hues of a rainbow fill your mind, even if you’re unaware of it. Think back to the red lust of your youth. Her cherry lips. Your fiery hearts. The sweet smell of crimson roses. Then look into the blue of your mind. The sorrow. Tears shed over death. Those eyes, hard as sapphires, laden with your pain and my guilt. The note left in blue biro. The best memories are the yellow days of happiness. The sunshine on the day you met. An endless field of buttercups. The golden ring of forever.

This is a 99 word story I wrote for my english class, Just thought I’d share it with you all.

Happy Potter

So for some reason I had the urge to look at my Harry Potter books today. I got rather excited when I thought that my copy of the first book might have been a first edition.

After looking around for awhile, I discovered that the first 3 books all have “Fist published in …” in them, and there is actually a line of number that shows what edition it is.

My get rich quick plans died as quickly as they sprung up.

But then I decided to look at my other books. Turn out the Prisoner of Azkaban is actually a First Edition, First Printing, First Issue. Plus an uncorrected text block on Page 7 and copyright Joanne Rowling (rather than JK Rowling).

I didn’t look a lot farther than that, but it looks like it might be worth a decent amount. So that’s fun.

So if you got into harry potter early, check out the copyright page of your first three books. Look for a number string – 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. If you find that, you might be in luck. =D

A Story of Great Things

Here I sit, in a dark room with Mitto by my side.
The air is hot and stuffy. The fan is loud. But he still smiles. Determined to entertain the masses one day, he picks up the infamous Leukulele and begins to pick at the strings creating a beautiful melody.

Out of nowhere the door bursts open. Chris.
With his constantly wet looking hair, lightly freckled skin, and boyish face, he looks like any Sydney street kid. But he is in-fact a twenty year old male from Melbourne. I have come to the conclusion that he is the master of disguise.

The mass of limbs that is Rohan isn’t here yet.
Mitto and I sit and think about the glory he would bring to this room. I think more on how much better he is at writing than me. We shall see him soon. Well as soon as Rob is ready…

A few hours later Rob is ready.
He tends to take a bit longer than the rest of us, but he’s still just as much fun. For some reason though, he enjoys wearing a towel instead of pants…

A weeks work

So as my second term of school starts to draw to an end, I am desperately thinking of ways to put off all the assignments that will be due over the next few weeks. As much as I want to do them, I just can’t be bothered. Some of them, such as the short film I have to produce, are sure to be fun, but the written essays seem to just waste so much time. But no doubt it will all get done in the end.

I went to see a show last saturday, which two of my friends were is, called Hollow Ground. It was very intense, and quite confronting, but never the less very enjoyable. There was hardly a moment when I wasn’t completely concentrating on the play. Thats how a good performance should be really, but it seems so many of them these days have gaping holes in them where you just get bored.

Another thing I’ve started doing this week is downloading television shows from iTunes. It’s been most enjoyable, but rather taxing on my download limit. So I’ll have to control that.
